Our approach
Our treatment follows a fixed route, but the content is always tailored. Below you can see how a trajectory with us runs and what we base our choices on.
What we start from
We regard behaviour as a form of communication. Behind difficult behaviour there is usually a need a child cannot make clear. That is why we work on functional communication as the foundation. Without that foundation, a change in behaviour rarely holds.
We do not focus only on reducing symptoms, but on building the skills that let a child take part, at home, at school and beyond.
The methods we use
All treatment is tailored and follows an individual plan drawn up together with the family. Among other things we combine:
- Behavioural interventions to build skills and reduce challenging behaviour.
- Communication-focused interventions, on the understanding that many behavioural difficulties relate to a communication need that is not yet being met.
- Emotional regulation strategies, particularly for stress responses or sensory sensitivity.
- Play-based and naturalistic learning, weaving practice into daily routines and meaningful activities.
- Skills training aimed at independent functioning and participation.
How we safeguard quality
We work with structured documentation and a fixed improvement cycle. Concretely that means:
- goals and progress are recorded in writing
- the chosen methods are justified
- outcomes are evaluated periodically and adjusted where needed
- we work within applicable law and regulation
- our quality system is being built along HKZ principles
This is not just administration. It is how we can demonstrate that treatment actually achieves something, both to you and to the municipality funding the care.
What you can expect afterwards
By the end of a trajectory we work towards demonstrable progress in:
- communication and social interaction
- emotional regulation
- reduction of challenging or self-injurious behaviour
- independence in daily routines
- learning skills
- participation in education or a group setting

Intake and assessment
We map out how your child is developing, what the environment asks of them and what already works well. We look deliberately at strengths, not only at difficulties.
Setting goals
Together with you we formulate goals that are concrete and measurable. They are documented, so that later it is clear what has been achieved.
Delivery
Treatment takes place in the environment where the child lives. What is learned is practised in real situations, not only in a therapy room.
Evaluating and adjusting
At set moments we check whether the goals are getting closer. If something is not working we change it, and explain why.
Completion
We finish once the family can continue on its own. You are given tools to keep supporting development independently.
Curious what this looks like for your child?
In the intake conversation we make this approach concrete for your situation.
